The Kepel Hill Reservoir was rediscovered in February by two researchers from NHB (National Heritag

In a country as small as Singapore territory seems incredible that there was at this point someone looking old maps and with a little luck you've set their sights on a small spot on the map which took more than 100 years in almost total abandonment.
This is a small reservoir dating from the colonial period in Singapore, namely 1905, who survived World War II and the rapid industrialization after independence.
Hidden in the Forest of Mount Faber without presence on current maps, served as the source for Tanjong Pagar Dock Company, the forerunner of today's Port Authority of Singapore. He also had to be a recreational area since one can observe a trampoline and a bathing area.
The area known by some locals as Kepel Hill Reservoir jumped into the news when in the years 1936 and 1948 two soldiers and then a 17 year old boy drowned in the reservoir.
The Kepel Hill Reservoir was rediscovered in February by two researchers from NHB (National Heritage Board) who were making a topographic study of changes in Singapore in the last 100 years.
