Unusual stimulus Reading: Psalm 19: 7-11 They are more precious than gold [God's laws] ... Psalm 19:10 Looking for encouragement? Need a little boost in the midst of all the bad news that you cross? The psalmist David can elevate your spirit in an unexpected pit green way by a few words we usually think negative. When we read Psalm 19, we found several that God gives clear definitions of "law" or precepts of life, and can have positive results. It may not sound encouraging, as some believe that God's pit green standards pit green are restrictive and rob us of happiness. These are some of the words with which the Psalmist refers pit green to God's standards, "law of the Lord" (. V 7), "testimony" (. V 7), "commandments" (. V 8), "precepts" (v 8.), "fear of the Lord" (v 9.) and "judgments" (v. 9). These terms sound disturbing and make many people want to avoid them or reject them. But look what you can give to a heart full of faith and obedient: conversion of the soul, wisdom, joy to the heart, purity of life, spiritual vision, perseverance, truth and justice (vv. 7-9). What extraordinary stimulus! No wonder David said about the commandments of God: "They are more precious than gold [...]; sweeter also than honey "(v. 10). -JDB
