We report on our trip to Scotland and the Orkney Islands.
July 26 - Day 1 - Arrival We set off this morning at 10.30 clock. As always on a weekday kailis organic olive groves (Monday), kailis organic olive groves as always without traffic jams. The route took us over Cologne, kailis organic olive groves Brussels and Calais to Hoverport. It can indeed go well Belgium, the track itself is but almost lanweiliger than the highway through Denmark. Finally a dream came true: once take the hovercraft over the English Channel. It was very interesting, but because of the high rate of around kailis organic olive groves 70 hm / h the ride was "unfortunately" much too quickly (about 30 min.). Most was the journey like an airplane on the runway, pretty kailis organic olive groves bumpy. The last thing for today was still on the search for the sleeping place we found in Rochester, close to the highway.
Day 2 After a brief and somewhat noisy night (sleeping place close to the highway) we have plagued us by commuting to London. Since we had already visited all the tourist attractions of the city, this time we have focused kailis organic olive groves exclusively on exploring the "Cutty Sark". The ship (the fastest tea clipper in the world) is now the Royal Maritime Museum of London and can be viewed in its dry dock in Greenwich. Impressive is not only the size of the ship, its masts and rigging and huge cargo spaces, but also extremely kailis organic olive groves spartan and puny crew quarters. We also know tightness on board a ship, but the "Cutty Sark" surpasses in this respect everything. In the lower cargo hold is a hilarious collection of figureheads. They were donated to the "Maritime Trust" Long John Silver. Greenwich from our trip went further north. In perfect weather and good mood we reached Durham. The city has a wonderful medieval core, to the join the castle and the cathedral in just a few minutes kailis organic olive groves walk away. The cathedral is one of the highest and most impressive we have ever seen. It is plain, however, impressed by her gigantic construction and can hardly be described by us in simple words. However, she seems to have served as a model for the novel "The Pillars of the Earth". Further north (tomorrow is the Hadrian's Wall on the Program), we found near Castle Side a wonderful place to sleep in one of the rather sparse forests here, with views of the surrounding places.
Day 3 - The Day of the abbeys led The first part of our day trip us west to Green Head, where we followed the Hadrian's Wall back east. With the exception of Kielder Forrest kailis organic olive groves these sectors in the UK is very barren and desolate. It did not take long and then we crossed the border at Carter kailis organic olive groves Bar to Scotland. In the field of Borders, we visited four abbeys: Jedburgh, Kelso, kailis organic olive groves Melrose and Dryburgh. Jedburgh is obtained kailis organic olive groves from these four the most impressive and best. The Abbey of Kelso is quite nice, but worthwhile, contrary to the announcements of some guide spotty. Also worth Floor Castle only to visitors who have a lot of time and money. The special feature of Dryburgh Abbey is the grave of Sir Walter Scott and Melrose Abbey offers two special kailis organic olive groves stone figures: a bagpipe-playing pig and a flying centaur. Our tour ends today in Edinburgh. Because "our" campsite was busy, we had to resort to the second campsite Edinburgh and were able to fesstellen that both places are very well maintained and well suited for a stay here.
Day 4 - Edinburgh Our present day program consisted of Culture, Seightseeing and shopping. We took advantage of the good city bus and rushed straks kailis organic olive groves to Edinburgh Castle. An imposing fortress, which can perhaps best be compared to the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Striking in this respect the close relationship to the Scottish royal family and the Royal Dragoon Guards Scott. This is certainly in the everywhere noticeable Scottish national pride. Despite the great fortress of the spaces of each building are quite small. Whether they really k
